Ceil Chapman

Born as Cecilia Mitchell (1912 - July 13, 1979), Ceil Chapman went on to become one of the biggest fashion designers of the 40s-60s. According to her son, Peter Chapman, she had no formal design training, but learned by working as a "buyer and business woman in the fashion industry". Ceil Chapman was noted for creating glamorous cocktail and party dresses, and was reportedly Marilyn Monroe's favorite fashion designer. Other celebrity clients included Deborah Kerr, Grace Kelly and Aretha Franklin. She also provided the trousseau for Elizabeth Taylor, when she married Conrad "Nicky" Hilton, in 1950.

Here follows some of her amazing designs!
