Last Moment Christmas Gifts

Soon it's CHRISTMAAAAAS!!! If anyone had forgot I mean... My Christmas shopping is done *phew*... But if you need some last minute tips, I have a few for you!

Source

Bra, panties and garter belt from What Katie Did's Coco series. I just love that bra! And the brown color is a nice alternative to the "normal" black.

Source

French knickers - also from What Katie Did. These come in black or peach!

Source

The Black Currant Scones Heel from ModCloth. Vintage style shoes with a heel low enough for not getting feet aches during long parties. Yay!

Source

The Goodnight Kiss Gloves, also from ModCloth. Long, warm gloves with diamond-shaped cutouts decorated with red lips!

Source

The Fan Seashell Bag, from It's Vintage Darling. Kizzy of the blog The Dainty Dolls House, posted a picture of this bag a few days ago, and now I want one myself!

Pearl necklace in a variety of colors, with matching bracelet, from Daisy Dapper!

Come to think of it, I actually want all these things myself! Better write Santa another letter. Haha...

Merry Christmas!

It's yet again that time of year when we can all roll around i tinsel, make out with people we would normally not make out with - just because a piece of mistletoe hangs over our heads - eat until we can't eat anymore. Wait a while. And then eat some more. Dance around to goofy songs about red-nosed reindeers, and frighten children with big, fat, red-wearing, bearded old men. And for once this isn't weird. It's completely normal. It's CHRISTMAS!!!

Merry Christmas!!!

I hope you all get to have a lovely time with the people that matter the most to you!

Vintage Christmas Photos

Taking pictures of the Christmas tree, sometimes with the family gathered around it, isn't exactly a new phenomenon, and since it's just a few days left until Santa arrives, I thought it would be the perfect time to look at some of these Christmas family photos that were taken a few decades ago!

Source

The Dickey family of Washington D.C., 1923. I thought Christmas trees were cone-shaped, but in the 20s they were obviously round...

The Dickies again, this time from 1929. Remember this - if the tree is too big, don't bother cutting it off a bit in the bottom, just bend the top of it until it fits the room!

Source

Unidentified family, 1921. I'm sure everyone would have looked a bit happier if the tree had been a bit bigger!

Christmas postcard from 1917. The little girl on the floor doesn't look to happy with her new doll...

Another old Christmas card. Love this one!

Tree decorating in 1938. Can hardly see the actual tree though...But the price for most overdecorated Christmas tree goes to...

Christmas Eve

Up here in the north we celebrate Christmas on the 24th, but usually with a nice family dinner on Christmas Day too. This year Christmas Eve was spent at my parents' house with mom, dad, sister and grandma. The next day my ant was added to the company, so it became a very relaxed celebration.

The night before I had set my waist-long hair in pin curls for the first time. After sleeping in them the curls actually held all day! I don't brush my curls out though. My hair is too long, and just ends up straight if I do that. Instead I just head bang for a few seconds after letting the curls out, to make them "mingle".

This was the result! The feathered hair flower is set with read Swarovski stones, and comes from "Tarina Tarantino".

I wore a dress from "Bettie Page Clothing".

I love the cut-out in the back! My spine-tattoo fits well into it too...

The purple stilettos come from "Milan Fashion Freaks".

My mother wore a lovely dress from "Daisy Dapper".

Saga was for the occasion dressed as an alien...

This year's masterpiece!

The obligatory schnaps - or "nubbe", as we also call it! Christmas was spent like in most families - eating...Some TV was involved too, to give us something to do while digesting the food. Santa obviously liked how I had behaved during the last year, for he was very generous to me. What gifts he bestowed on me I'll tell you more about tomorrow!

PS. When Santa ask you if you've been nice or naughty this year, remember that I'm sure he likes it when at least Mrs Claus is a bit naughty!!! XOXO

Burläsk Presents: It's Santa Baby Tajm

Last Friday started out better than it ended - me and Fanny headed to a burlesque event called "Burläsk Presents: It's Santa Baby Tajm"!

First we met up at Fanny's shop "Kellerman Vintage", where we did some outfit-posing. I wore a vintage 50s skirt I bought in NY last summer, and a corset made by myself.

Fanny looked über-cute in a vintage pinafore dress, and shoes to match her hair.

Here she is at the party, showing off her collar!

The place was full of Christmas decorations. Little light-Santas that changed color were placed here and there:

Believe it or not - but the Santa in the pictures above is the same Santa, changing color! Coooooool!!!!!

Even people were Christmas decorated! Here is Lady Francescca. Look at that hat!

Later she took the stage as a naughty housemaid!

But there were other performers too! Here are a few of them:

I was sitting on some carpets just below the stage, and after being hit by a glitter rain, this is what my feet - and wine - looked like:

It was about now my food poisoning (or whatever it was) hit. Thanks to Fanny - who got me out of there, almost had to carry me to a cab, brought me to her home, and undressed me - I made it to bed! The day after I felt too bad to leave her place and go home. So I spent the day on a couch, watching "Dexter" season 4, and was treated like a sick queen by Fanny! She fed me, and even whisked out the bubbles in some Coke for me! She's like the boyfriend I wished a had...But with boobs...
