Fraulein Frauke Presents - The Seven Seas

Last Saturday another fabulous Fräulein Frauke Presents took place at Nalen. The theme of this big burlesque event this time was The Seven Seas.

As I didn't have the time or the strength to put together a theme-fitting costume, I just threw on a green, one shoulder dress from Bettie Page Clothing, and a hair decoration I've made myself. When I arrived Nalen was full of sailors, pirates, mermaids, and other creatures of the sea. Watching the audience at these events is a show in itself, but of course there was a show going on up on the stage too. The performers were:

And the lovely conférencière Dusty Limits!

There was also people singing, and bands and DJs playing all through the night, and I just love this picture photographer John-Paul Bichard took backstage of Louise De Ville while she was getting ready for her second act! And here are a few of the good-looking guests:

To see all the photos from the evening, follow this link! Next Fräulein Frauke Presents will take place May 9, and then the theme will be Moulin Rouge/Paris. To get updates about these events, you can sign up to Fräulein Frauke's newsletter here.

Fräulein Frauke Presents - Cuba Libre!

Last Saturday I glued on my fake lashes to go to one of Fräulein Frauke's popular burlesque parties at Nalen! The theme this time was Cuba Libre!

Before the event me and Johanna went to Tifa to pre-party with sangria!

I had sewn my outfit myself. For the skirt I used a simple pattern from the 50s. The top I made like a long shawl I just put around my neck, over my boobs, and tied in the back, leaving my belly naked. The flamingo wanted to be my date for the evening, but he got so drunk during the pre-party he had to stay at home...More pictures from this sangria feast can be seen on Tifa's blog!

Madame Magduschka - or for the night Madame Magda Castro - was the evening's conferenciere.

The burlesque artists performing were all amazing!

Ivoncita and the Matadores de Amor!

There were other performers too, and some performed twice. Here is Fräulein Frauke and Ivoncita again!

The evenings stage kitten - Gabriella - selling chocolate cigarettes and Cuban cigars!

As usual the guests looked smashing!

Wiktor!

Johannes!

Me and Fanny! That's true love there...

Karin, who were one of the two winners for best outfit with her self made voodoo hat!

Tifa and Lola van Dyke!

Me and a broken cigar!

Fräulein Frauke and her husband John Paul Bichard! The two people we can thank for creating these lovely events!

Elegy Ellem, Albin and Fräulein Frauke!

I had more fun at the party than I have had in along time! After watching the amazing show the dancing began! Me and Ellem probably performed one of the most pornographic dances on the dance floor, Fanny managed to shower me in a whole glass of white wine (it's at times like that I'm glad she only drinks white wine...), I made burlesque plans with an Italian, realized the ceiling at Nalen is really pretty by lying down on the floor with Michael, and finally made smoke puffs with Ellem on the way home. Not that I really smoke. But sometimes it happens. Fell into bed, tired and happy, around 4 am, just to get up the next day to witness a fencing competition!

All photos marked "Bichard" were taken by John Paul Bichard!

Fräulein Frauke Presents

On Saturday, May 26, it's finally time for the next burlesque club Fräulein Frauke Presents! This time she presents Cuba Libre! This celebrates the three year anniversary of Fräulein Frauke's popular burlesque parties!

After WWII South America - including Cuba - became the number one vacation destination for the Americans. The women there were beautiful, the cabarets held top class, rum and cigars came in plenty - a freedom the tourists didn't find at home. Of course everything wasn't as glamorous as it looked. In 1959 came Castro's communist revolution that would change Cuba for ever...

On this Saturday night we will dream back to the good days though! Warm nights filled with tutti-frutti hats, palm trees, decadence, music, dancing and passion!

At the party a book release will take place too! The book to be released is The Prophet Murders by Mehmet Murat Somer. The story takes place in the drag queen-world of Istanbul, and is full of Turkish transexuals and murder. Because of this the first hour of the evening will be dedicated to drag shows, belly dancing, and oriental disco.

The burlesque performers at the party will be:

Luna Rosa - Exotic, Melodic and oh so Hypnotic.

Photo: Kerttu Malinen.

Bent van der Bleu - Cocky Boylesque Starlet.

Fräulein Frauke - The Saucy Songbird herself!

Ivoncita and the Matadores de Amor.

Yvette Les Fesses - the Dame with the Deadly Derrier.

Madame Magduschka - Conferencier.

Other performers will be Babara y Eusebio who will be entertaining us with cuban dancing. Hop Ciki Kaya. Finland's biggest drag queen - Lola Vanilla. 30s drag show artist Tollie, and DJ's Fashionasti, Lady Bluebird, and NevaDelay.

I know I will be there! Hope to see as many of you there too!

You can get your tickets here. Before it's too late!!!
