Today's Fabergé object - a lorgnette - was made by workmaster Henrik Wigström, sometime between 1908 and 1917!
 

The lorgnette is made of two-colored gold, and has spring-hinged lens mounts. Part of the handle is enameled in cerulean blue over a guilloché ground, and decorated with husk leaves in gold. When closed, the length of the lorgnette is 5.5'' (14 cm), and the price for it is 18,500 USD. You find it at John Atzbach Antiques.

It's Friday again! Amazing how fast the weeks go. Feels like I'm constantly writing these Fabergé posts. Oh well. Can't get enough of pretty things! And here are three more - three shirt studs, made around 1910!

The studs are made of gold. The front is covered in translucent white enamel over a guilloché sunburst pattern. In the middle sits a lapis lazuli cabochon. The whole thing is surrounded by reeds bound by two colored ribbons. The studs are 0.6'' (1.5 cm) in diameter, and they come in their original fitted holly wood box. For 14,500 USD they can be yours. A few days ago I was hemming a dress, and the fabric was so sturdy I lost quite a lot of skin on the finger I used to push the needle through the fabric. That would never have happened had I owned a thimble though. And since Fabergé created most things you might need in life, of course I found a little thimble among his creations! It was made by workmaster Feodor Afanasiev, around 1890!

The thimble is 0.9'' (2.2 cm) high and made of gold. The base is decorated with a Greek key ornament in turquoise enamel. It can be yours for 11.500 USD, and it is for sale at John Atzbach Antiques.

Even though you might be a drug addict, there is no reason why you shouldn't own something from Fabergé - like this little pill box for example! It was made by workmaster Alfred Thielemann, sometime between the years 1908 and 1917!

The tablet case is made of gold, covered in translucent oyster enamel over a guilloché ground. The hinged gold lid is encircled with a band of chased laurel leaves. Sometimes when you sew and need buttons for your creation, it can be difficult to find the perfect buttons! But now I have found the perfect buttons - before I have even sewed anything to put them in... Since it's Friday I guess it's not so difficult to guess they come from Fabergé... They were made by workmaster Erik Kollin around the year 1890, and here they are!

The six stud buttons are 0.5'' (1.3 cm) in diameter, and made of white gold covered in white translucent enamel over a radiating wave patter. They come in their original fitted box, and will cost you 15,500 USD. You find them at John Atzbach Antiques!

As jewelry can be worn on pretty much any place on your body, here comes another example of the different things that came out of Fabergé's workshops - a belt buckle. It was made by workmster Henrik Wigström, around the years 1903-1908!

The cartouche form buckle is covered in translucent light blue enamel over a guilloché ground. The border is made of gold, and the backside is gilded silver. Since it's Easter, and eggs have a big part in this celebration, here is another Fabergé egg pendant! It was made by workmaster Feodor Afanasiev, around the year 1900!

The little - 1'' (2.5 cm) tall - egg is made of gold, covered in translucent green enmel over a guilloché ground. Around the middle runs a band of opaque white enamel, decorated with green leaves and red cherries. The price for the pendant is 17,000 USD, and you find it at John Atzbach Antiques!

And here comes yet another one of Fabergé's egg pendants! This one was made by workmaster Henrik Wigstrom, around 1905!

This acorn-like miniature egg is made of a gold mounted cabochon moonstone. The upper part is decorated with god leaves and roundels of salmon colored enamel over a guilloché ground. Around the center of the egg sits a band of rose-cut diamonds. The height of the pendant is 7/8'' (2.2 cm), and the price you have to pay to get it is 45.000 USD. I've always been a sucker for a good alliteration. So here comes a Friday Fabergé Frame! Haha! It was made by workmaster Mikhail Perchin, sometime around the years 1899 - 1903!

 

This gilded silver, circular frame is covered with alternating panels of translucent red and opaque white enamel. The opening in the center is framed with seed pearls. Both the bow at the top, and the scrolled strut at the back are also gilded silver. The back is made of ivory, and the frame's dimensions are 3 3/4'' x 3 3/8'' (9.5 cm x 8.6 cm). Today's Fabergé object is a very royal-looking pendant, made by workmaster Erik Kollin, around the year 1900!

The center of the pendant consists of a gold coin of Empress Catherine II, dated 1779. The fromt side of the coin has been partially enameled in translucent red and flanked by four diamonds, while the back side is enameled in opaque white, and flanked by four rubies. The coin is then held inside a square openwork gold frame. The pendant's size is 3/4'' x 3/4'' (1.9 x 1.9 cm). The chain is 17 1/4 '' (43.8 cm) long, and the price for the whole thing is 18,500 USD. I love this week's Fabergé object - a gold lady's case, made by Edward Schramm, sometime before 1899!

The rectangular gold case has a hammered surface, embellished with stylized floral sprays of cabochon sapphires and faceted diamonds. The thumbpushes are also made of sapphires, and on the inside of the case there are hinged compartments. The measurements of the case are 3 1/2'' x 2 1/2'' (8.9 x 6.4 cm), and it's price is 18,500 USD. You find it at John Atzbach Antiques!

I would really like to have a pretty, antique hand mirror, and if it was made by Fabergé, that would be a big plus! Like this one for example, created by workmaster Julius Rappoport, some time between 1899-1908!

And this Friday's Fabergé object is - a hat pin! Made by workmaster August Hollming, around 1890!

As you can see, Fabergé's famous eggs were used for many different things - even as hat pins. This 6'' (15.2 cm) long pin is made of gold, with it's egg-shaped head covered in translucent mauve enamel over a hatched surface. Around the base of the egg sits a chased leaf collar, and at it's top a diamond set terminal. For 14,000 USD it can get a new home at any (rich) hat lover. Get it here!

During the sunny summer a parasol might come in handy. If the parasol has a handle by Fabergé, the sunny day might seem even sunnier. Take a look at this beauty, made by workmaster Henrik Wigström, sometime between 1908 and 1917!

The parasol handle is covered in translucent pink enamel over a wavy guilloché ground. The green ball on top is carved out of nephrite and mounted with gold laurel swags set with diamonds. A gold chased band of laurel also encircles the bottom. Today's Fabergé object is - a frame! A pretty frame...

This frame was made by workmaster Johan Victor Aarne sometime between 1890-1908. The gold bordered arch is enameled in pale, translucent green over a radiating guilloché ground. Over the enamel sits decorative floral swags in four-colored gold, accented with cabochon rubies. The back of the frame is made of mother of pearl, and has a hinged, guilt scrolling strut. The hight of the frame is 1 5/8 inches (4.1 centimeters), and it is now for sale at John Atzbach Antiques for 135,000 USD.
