Full Moon

Source

Fall has really arrived in Sweden now, and even though I love summer, I have to say I do love fall too. Cozy, misty days among the dying trees... And when the full moon shines through the ghostlike clouds, I feel really good! The music I want to share with you this time is the song Chandelier by Sia. I think this is a really good song, and when I saw the video I was astounded by the little girl dancing in it. There is something disturbing in the way she moves and expresses herself like a grown up woman, when in reality she is only twelve years old! Her name is Maddie Ziegler, and well, she is astounding! Watch the video below and you'll understand...

Star De Cinéma

Sexy, glamorous, pin-up style clothing company Wheels & Dollbaby has released a new collection called Star De Cinéma. The sassy yet stylish, body-hugging clothes in this line evokes a feeling of the dangerously curvy Film Noir stars, from which designer Melanie Greensmith gets a lot of her inspiration. With both tops, skirts, pants and dresses, you can pick and choose, and match the items together in many different ways. Here are a few goodies from the collection!

Coquette Peaches and Cream Dress with Belt.

Peaches and Cream Fringed Knickers.

Peaches and Cream Tie Top - Here worn with the fringed knickers above.

Boudoir Decoratifs Dress with Belt.

Nouvelle Lace Blouse and Le Chic Pencil Skirt.

Fabergé Friday

The egg shape comes back now and again in Fabergé's creations, and here comes an egg-shaped box. It was made by workmaster Mikhail Perkhin, sometime between 1896 and 1903!

Fabergé was very influenced by the tradition of hardstone carving in Russia, and this egg is carved out of Rhodonite, a form of striated pink marble. The hinge is made of gold and decorated with a diamond-set fleur de lis. The top of the egg also has a diamond-set decoration. The egg now belongs in the Royal Collection.

The 4th International Stockholm Burlesque Festival

In just a little bit more then one week it's finally time for the 4th version of The International Stockholm Burlesque Festival! There will be two evenings full of glitter, glamour, humor and fabulousness! On Friday October 10 the show will take place at Södra Teatern at Mosebacke, followed by Saturday October 11, when it all goes down at Nalen.

Photo: John Paul Bichard

The producers of the festival are Fräulein Frauke and John Paul Bichard, and the lineup - over fifty performers from thirteen different countries - is of very high class!

The whole thing will be hosted by Australian superstar, the gorgeous Reuben Kaye, and the headliners will be...

...Tigger - The Original King of Boylesque...

...Sydni Deveraux - The Golden Glamazon...

...and Natsumi Scarlett. I'm also proud to say I will be part of this year's fantastic lineup, and I will perform during the Friday!

As October is the Pink Ribbon campaign fundraising-month for breast cancer research, there will also be a tassel twirling competition called Octbooberfest during the Saturday at Nalen, to support the Pink Ribbon. There will also be a raffle, and you will be able to by the limited edition of the Octbooberfest Calendar 2015 - produced by Bichard Studios and full of burlesque beauties - where all the money will go to the Pink Ribbon! To donate money for this cause you can also visit the Octboober fundraising site here!

So if you feel like coming to see me and a bunch of other fabulous performers throw our clothes off in heaps of feathers and glitter, here are a few helpful links - that also contains info on where to get your tickets:

Fabergé Friday

Today's Fabergé object is something that will help you see more clearly - a magnifying glass! It was made by workmaster Mikhail Perkhin, sometime between 1896 and 1903!

The square lens of the magnifying glass is held in a gold frame, covered in blue guilloché enamel decorated with gold neo-classical ornaments. The handle is carved out of chalcedony and set with a blue enamel band. A gold laurel wreath, topped by the Russian imperial crown, holding a gold rouble coin from the reign of Tsarina Elizabeth, dated 1750, connects the handle with the framed lens. The magnifying glass can now be found in the Royal Collection.

Dita Von Teese Eyewear

After creating her own clothing line, lingerie line, makeup, perfumes etc, Dita von Teese has now also released her own line of sunglasses! As usual this classy woman delivers something I really like! Maybe it's not so strange a vintage-lover like me likes her old fashioned designs, but even if you have a more modern style, you will probably find a pair of sunglasses in this line that will make you look cool in the sun!

Here are a few examples from her collection, but there are many more styles in different colors. My personal favorites are the cat-eye shaped ones. To find your own favorites, go to Pretavoir, where you can see the whole collection!
