Accessories: Leather Gloves, A Riding Crop.... And A Cat

A while ago I did a shoot with photographer Jonas Mattsson. The location was his apartment, and since he has a cat - Nina - I ended up with her as a co-model. She was very curious about what we were doing and found my riding crop to be a fun toy. As she was running in front of the camera all the time, we let her be part of a few of the photos.

The only light we used was the sun shining in through the window, and the lingerie I'm wearing in most of the photos are from Dita Von Teese's lingerie collection Von Follies. And here is the result!

Nina playing with my crop...

This pic was taken through the glass of an open window.

I love this last photo! While Jonas was changing the film in his camera I was cuddling with Nina. Just when she gave me a good head boop he snapped this pic. I wasn't ready for it at all! Haha!

Dita Von Teese Eyewear

After creating her own clothing line, lingerie line, makeup, perfumes etc, Dita von Teese has now also released her own line of sunglasses! As usual this classy woman delivers something I really like! Maybe it's not so strange a vintage-lover like me likes her old fashioned designs, but even if you have a more modern style, you will probably find a pair of sunglasses in this line that will make you look cool in the sun!

Here are a few examples from her collection, but there are many more styles in different colors. My personal favorites are the cat-eye shaped ones. To find your own favorites, go to Pretavoir, where you can see the whole collection!

Olivia De Berardinis

When people talk about pin-up art, they usually talk about the old pictures made in the 40s and 50s, by noted pin-up artists such as Gil Elvgren and Alberto Vargas. There are however, artists that still work to keep the pin-up girl alive. One of them is Olivia De Berardinis. As this genre has been, and still is, dominated by male artists, it's nice to see that at least a few women aren't afraid of painting these sassy half naked dream girls. I mean - even though the pin-up was originally created for the eyes of men, today women usually loves looking at them just as much!

Olivia has been working in this genre since the mid-1970s, and is really good at what she's doing! If she ever said she wanted to paint me, I would throw my clothes off right there and then! Even if we happened to be in the local grocery store! Haha! Here is a small collection of her artwork!

Mrs. Murphy's House Warming Party

Downstairs at the beautiful Berns in Stockholm lies the erotic shop Pom Pom Parlour. Mrs. Murphy had decided to move in there, and last Friday she had her house waring party!

I wore a black pencil skirt from Daisy Dapper and a corset Fanny gave me once for helping her in her ex vintage shop. Peeking out of the corset is the underwire bra from Dita von Teese's Von Follies collection.

Bracelets and earring I had made myself with pearls from Swarovski.

The evening started with drinks in LjusgÃ¥rden (The Light Yard), where the bartenders looked stylish in their white bathrobes.

Then we went down in the basement - and Mrs. Murphy's new home - which she had decorated very nicely!

She handed out streamers to pop, and small champagne bottles with bubbles to blow - here demonstrated by gorgeous Lenore Caine. Then the party began...

...and me and the girls made ourself at home in Mrs. Murphy's "apartment"! Here are Tifa, Lenore, Elegy Ellem and Ida.

Of course Ellem had to lick something, so she went for one of the big, inflated champagne bottles. She also licked my teeth. But that was after I licked hers. She had a bit of lipstick on one tooth, and I just wanted to help her. Um...Anyway...

I found a nice epée in Mrs. Murphy's lodgings, but I managed to go through the whole evening without killing anyone, so I guess I did good! As usual when it comes to Mrs. Murphy, it was a fabulous evening, and I hope I'll get invited to her "party apartment" again some time!

Dita von Teese's New Von Follies Collection

Dita von Teese's new collection of underwear is now for sale! I showed you a little video of her modeling these new Von Follies pieces before, but here are also a few shots of Miss von Teese wearing these lovely little things!

Von Follies can be bought at, for example, Debenhams.

Two Times Dita

Since I showed you my new lingerie from Dita von Teese's Von Follies collection yesterday, I thought it was a good idea to follow it by showing you a video where Dita herself models the new collection for this line of lingerie! Here it is!

But since the band Monarchy just released a video with their collaboration with Dita for their song Disintegration, I decided to throw that one into today's post too! Enjoy!

Von Follies by Dita von Teese

When I first looked at Dita von Teese's lingerie collection Von Follies I immediately wanted the black overwire bra. It didn't exist in my 32 A size by then though, so for a long time I haven't payed so much attention to it. But then, a few weeks ago, I took a peek at it again, and noticed the bra was now being sold in my size! Yay! Of course I ordered it, together with a pair of panties with a matching garter belt, and here they are! Just wish I could have done a proper shoot, with a better camera for these pictures. But sometimes there just isn't enough time...

I ordered everything from Debenhams, but the panties that are paired with the black overwire bra were out of stock, so I decided to go with the black lace and fishnet brief, and it's matching garter belt instead - which turned out to work really well with the bra!

The panties have a sheer backside, and even though I show them with the garters over them here (because it looks better in pictures) the right way to use a garter belt is with the straps underneath the panties! As I almost always wear stockings instead of pantyhose, I was happy to see the Von Follies garters are equipped with six straps and metal clasps, which means they will be able to hold my stockings in place all day long.

The bra can be worn with or without the straps, and in my opinion it's meant to be shown off! Like in the picture above where Dita wears it underneath The Showcase Dress from her Muse collection. Wish I could afford this dress, but even though her dresses might be a bit pricey, the pieces in her lingerie collection come at very good prices! And even though they won't break your bank accounts, they still feel - and look - really well made! So as long as they come in my size, I will definitely get more Von Follies lingerie in the future!

Dita von Teese's "My Cointreau Evening Bag"

As most Dita fans know, this gorgeous lady is the ambassadress of Cointreau. Now she has designed a bag called "My Cointreau Evening Bag", which contains secret cocktail accessories for "hidden moments of pleasure"...

The white and orange - limited edition - handbag is vintage styled, and has an art deco inspired pattern on the front, reminiscent of the oranges Cointreau uses to create its spirit. Dita's signature in small silver letters is also placed at the bottom of the bag.

Inside the bag you find surprising ingredients that will spice up any cocktail party. They can be used both to mix classic cocktails, or to create new recipes and flavors. Alongside the iconic Cointreau bottle sits three jars, offering a burst of ginger, a pinch of cinnamon, or a thrilling kick of chili to your cocktail.

The bag also holds a vintage mixing spoon and a measuring cup for precise cocktail-making, as well as a classic powder compact containing a box of tea, as Dita adores the blend of Cointreau and chilled tea over ice.

During her travels around the world Dita has tasted a few cocktails, and in the bag you also find a book with recipes inspired her discoveries - like the MargaDita, inspired by sunny Mexico, or the Royal Cointreaupolitan, that gives you a taste of the grandeur of London.

All the things in the bag can also be removed, so you can fill it with whatever you need, and use it as a "normal" bag. "My Cointreau Evening Bag" was launched in September, and can be found exclusively in Selfridges nationwide.

Dita says about her creation: "a woman's handbag should always contain special accessories that make her happy...hidden moments of pleasure that live inside the pockets. It has what it takes to create the unpredictable, which is exactly what I love". Unfortunately Selfridges doesn't exist in Sweden. So I guess I don't have so much hope of getting one of these. But I would just love to bring it with me to my friends, open it up, and have a party! Now I need a drink...
