I've done several shoots with photographer Charlotte Hall. We've always done our shoots outside though, so we decided to go indoors for once, to do a burlesque ballet session! The result is a mix of classic ballet pictures, and a few that goes more towards my burlesque occupation. Voilà!

CHROMAT
CHROMAT - Structural Experiments for the Human Body is a lingerie/swimwear/fashion brand started up in 2010 by Becca McCharen. She has a degree in architecture, and took her interest in scaffolding, city maps, wearable exoskeletons and the intricacies of lingerie and brought all this together into fashion. The result is several collections of wearable architecture. I just stumbled upon CHROMAT and think it's fantastic! Here are a few of my favorites. For more, visit CHROMAT's website here!

Vintage Showgirl Costumes
As a burlesque dancer and vintage lover, I couldn't help drooling when my eyes landed on a post over on For The Love Of Lingerie a few days ago. The post showcased twenty amazing showgirl costumes from back in the day. Felt I had to share these pictures with you too. So if you haven't already seen them, here they are!
Paula Sands and Josephine Baker.
Rose La Rose and Sally Rand.
Mitzi Gaynor and Gina Lollobrigida.
Gypsy Rose Lee and a 1920s pic from Les Follies.
Debra Paget and Lily St. Cyr.
Zorita and her - much copied - half man/half woman costume.
Natalie Wood and her corset, which is now owned by Dita von Teese.
Sequined leotard designed by Travilla and worn by Sheree North, and French silk corselet from around 1867.
Marilyn Monroe in Bus Stop to the left, and as Lorelei Lee to the right.
Barbara Yung and 40s pin-up girl.
Bra and panties worn by Kiva, and a photo by Gordon Parks.

Shoot With Cato Lein
The ones of you who follow me on Facebook, might already have seen the photos from my first shoot with photographer Cato Lein - at least the Facebook-proof ones. Haha! That time he shot me and the lovely Midnight Maitresse together. But for my second encounter with Mr Lein, he came to my place to shoot me alone. As I always style myself for shoots, and use my own clothes and accessories, having the photographer come to where I actually live is really nice, since I have all my stuff just a few steps away, and we can just pick and choose whatever we like to use as ideas pop up in our heads.
Cato is a great photographer, and one thing I like about shooting with him is that he sees little interesting details here and there - like the bend of the legs, a foot, or a particular part of mt outfit - and then he he takes a picture of just that part, which usually turns into really cool photos. He also like to have a lot of moment in his photos. No static posing. So here is the result from my latest shoot with him!
All photos by Cato Lein.

Summer Shoot
Just realized I haven't shown you the result of my shoot with Linda Florin - that we did last summer - yet! A warm and sunny day we met up in a forest to take a few pics, and here they are! The corset and gloves are from What Katie Did, the skirt I made myself, and that lovely velvet cape is antique, late 1800s/early 1900s. Bought that one from Fanny.

OrologiSilenziosi Timeless Couture
One of my fellow performers at Caput Mundi International Burlesque Award - Mrs Mystique - shared a page on Facebook, and since the picture she posted looked very nice I - of course - had to investigate! And that's how I found OrologiSienziosi Timeless Couture! It is a company based in Venice, Italy, that creates avantgarde couture, corsets, hats and accessories. The owner work on commission only. So every piece is unique, handcrafted for every customer's needs. And here are some of OrologiSilenziosi's beautiful creations...

Mrs. Murphy's House Warming Party
Downstairs at the beautiful Berns in Stockholm lies the erotic shop Pom Pom Parlour. Mrs. Murphy had decided to move in there, and last Friday she had her house waring party!
I wore a black pencil skirt from Daisy Dapper and a corset Fanny gave me once for helping her in her ex vintage shop. Peeking out of the corset is the underwire bra from Dita von Teese's Von Follies collection.
Bracelets and earring I had made myself with pearls from Swarovski.
The evening started with drinks in Ljusgården (The Light Yard), where the bartenders looked stylish in their white bathrobes.
Then we went down in the basement - and Mrs. Murphy's new home - which she had decorated very nicely!
She handed out streamers to pop, and small champagne bottles with bubbles to blow - here demonstrated by gorgeous Lenore Caine. Then the party began...
...and me and the girls made ourself at home in Mrs. Murphy's "apartment"! Here are Tifa, Lenore, Elegy Ellem and Ida.
Of course Ellem had to lick something, so she went for one of the big, inflated champagne bottles. She also licked my teeth. But that was after I licked hers. She had a bit of lipstick on one tooth, and I just wanted to help her. Um...Anyway...
I found a nice epée in Mrs. Murphy's lodgings, but I managed to go through the whole evening without killing anyone, so I guess I did good! As usual when it comes to Mrs. Murphy, it was a fabulous evening, and I hope I'll get invited to her "party apartment" again some time!
