Here comes another one of Fabergé's beautiful brooches! This one was made by workmaster Alfred Thielemann, sometime between the years 1904 - 1908.

The convex-shaped brooch is covered in translucent pale pink enamel over a guilloché ground, framed by a row of rose-cut diamonds. Four circular-cut diamonds sits around the edges, and the piece is topped by a diamond-set tied spray of leaves. In the center of the brooch sits a large oval diamond. The width of the piece is 3.7 cm, and it was sold at Sotheby's.

Today I want to show you another one of Fabergé's brooches! This one was made by workmaster August Hollming, sometime between 1895-1904.

The circular brooch is covered in turquoise enamel over a guilloché ground. It's framed by a band of rose-cut diamonds "tied" in a knot, ending with two pearls. In the center sits a cabochon ruby. The diameter of the piece is 2.9 cm, and for 19,764 USD it can be yours! It's currently for sale at 1stdibs. You find it here!

Last Friday I showed you one of Fabergé's brooches, and here is another one! It was made by workmaster Alfred Thielemann, around 1910.

The brooch is made in Art Deco style, of silver-topped gold.

It is set with a big faceted aquamarine, one brilliant, and many rose-cut diamonds. The length of the brooch is 6.2 cm, and it has been sold at Romanov Russia.

I'm pretty bad at wearing brooches. I have quite a few of them, but for some reason I always forget to pin them on me. If I owned this one by Fabergé I probably wouldn't forget about it though... It was made by workmaster Alfred Thielemann, around 1910.

The field of the oval brooch is covered in translucent rose over a guilloché ground The border is made of gold in a ribbon-tied reed pattern. in the center sits a faceted citrine, from which stretches gold leaf decorations. The length of the brooch is 3.2 cm, and it was sold at Sotheby's for 15,000 USD.

So, let's take a look at another pretty Fabergé brooch! This one was made around 1900!

This 1.5'' x 1.5'' x 0.7'' (3.7 x 3.7 x 1.9 cm) sized brooch is made of a cabuchon calcedony surrounded by a wreath-frame of rubies, green enamel leaves, and rose-cut diamonds. It was probably acquired by Queen Alexandra, and is now part of the Royal Collection.

Today's Fabergé object - a brooch. Made by workmaster Anna Ringe, sometime between 1908 and 1917!

The brooch is lozenge-shaped, and covered in lavender purple enamel over a guilloché ground. The edges are gold, and in the center of it all sits a bezel-set diamond. The width of the brooch is 1.9'' (4.9 cm), and the prize for it is 4,900 USD. You find it at Romanov Russia!

To put some dazzle to your Friday this week, I have a beautiful Fabergé brooch to show you! It was purchased from Fabergé by the Imperial Cabinet of Internal Affairs in 1907, to be used as a state gift at a historical meeting of the Russian and German emperors at the Baltic resort of Swinemunde that same year.

The brooch has a very ornate design, and is made of diamonds set in platinum and gold. It also doubles as a pendant.

Tsar Nicholas II ordered a number of state gifts from Fabergé, to be given away during his state visits. Brooches were popular for these occasions, but many other objects were also given away. As long as they were made by Fabergé they were good enough for the Tsar!

Today I have yet another Fabergé item that reminds us about spring - a cherry blossom brooch, made sometime before 1896!

The brooch is covered in translucent mauve enamel over a sunburst ground. It is decorated with a branch holding diamond set cherry blossoms. The rocaille border is made of yellow gold, and highlighted with diamonds. The measurement across the brooch is 1.4 '' (3.5 cm). If you want it, contact Wartski.

I know I showed you a Fabergé brooch last Friday, but I found another one I really like, so here it comes! It was made by workmaster August Hollming, around 1908-1927!

This brooch is made of gold, centered by an oval purple sapphire, encircled by rose-cut diamonds. At each end of the brooch sits a brilliant-cut diamond in mille-grain settings.

This Garland Style brooch is made of gold, and topped with silver. In the middle sits a pink tourmaline, surrounded by diamonds.

It's when I write these Fabergé Friday posts I realize how fast the weeks go. Oh well, here comes another one - today showcasing a beautiful brooch, made by workmaster August Holmström, sometime before 1899!

This heart shaped gold brooch, with interlocking scrolling loops, is set with diamonds, ending in a three petal flower set with sapphires. It's size is 1'' x 1'' (2.54 x 2.54 cm), and the prize for it is 17,500 USD. For sale at John Atzbach Antiques!

Fabergé Friday - On a Saturday...

Been away from my computer for two days, and since I forgot to schedule this Friday's Fabergé post - here it comes on a Saturday instead!

I found another lovely Fabergé brooch. So today's post will be about that one - made around the year 1900, by workmaster August Holmström!

The brooch is made of a diamond shaped cabochon garnet, set within a white gold frame. The whole frame, and the bowknot adorning it, is set with diamonds. The width of the brooch is 1 1/8'' (2.9 cm), and it's hight is 3/4'' (1.9 cm).

This Friday we'll take a look at a Fabergé brooch, made by workmaster Oskar Pihl, around the year 1900!

The gold-mounted brooch is enameled in a deep translucent salmon color over a guilloché ground, bordered by a chased gold border of rocaille scrolls set with four diamonds. The rectangular piece is 7/8'' high, and 1 3/8'' wide (2.2 x 3.5 centimeters).

I feel it's time for a brooch - by Fabergé of course! This one was made by workmaster Henrik Wigström, sometime between 1908-1917!

The brooch - 1 1/2 inches (3,7 centimeters) in diameter - is made of a plaque of moss agate, that looks like a picture of a misty forest. 

The reeded gold frame is tied with silver ribbons, set with rose-cut diamonds. This brooch is right now for sale at Romanov Russia, for the slight sum of 25,000 USD!

Today we celebrate Midsummer's Eve in Sweden, so Happy Midsummer everyone!!! And I just discovered I have gotten my first mosquito bite for this year. So I think I have to go scratch that now...

Today we'll take a look at something more feminine than last Friday - a Fabergé Eternity Brooch, made sometime between 1899 and 1908!

The brooch is designed as an open work plaque, with a collet-set aquamarine set in the middle. The frame around it is made as two interlaced loops, set with rose-cut diamonds. Inside the four loops surrounding the center are four arrows - each set with an old brilliant-cut diamond - representing eternity.

The brooch is 1 1/8 inches (3 cm) wide, and can be bought at Romanov Russia for 65,000 USD.
