The parasol handle is covered in translucent pink enamel over a wavy guilloché ground. The green ball on top is carved out of nephrite and mounted with gold laurel swags set with diamonds. A gold chased band of laurel also encircles the bottom. The hight of the handle is 2 3/4'' (7 centimeters), and if you feel like getting a new handle for your parasol, this one can be yours for 39,500 USD over at John Atzbach Antiques!

Fabergé Friday
During the sunny summer a parasol might come in handy. If the parasol has a handle by Fabergé, the sunny day might seem even sunnier. Take a look at this beauty, made by workmaster Henrik Wigström, sometime between 1908 and 1917!

Fabergé Friday
I feel it's time for a brooch - by Fabergé of course! This one was made by workmaster Henrik Wigström, sometime between 1908-1917!
The brooch - 1 1/2 inches (3,7 centimeters) in diameter - is made of a plaque of moss agate, that looks like a picture of a misty forest.
The reeded gold frame is tied with silver ribbons, set with rose-cut diamonds. This brooch is right now for sale at Romanov Russia, for the slight sum of 25,000 USD!
Today we celebrate Midsummer's Eve in Sweden, so Happy Midsummer everyone!!! And I just discovered I have gotten my first mosquito bite for this year. So I think I have to go scratch that now...

Fabergé Friday
Fabergé didn't just create the bigger Easter Eggs he was so famous for. He also made small egg-pendants, to be worn on a chain as a necklace. Here is one, an Eternity Egg Pendant, made sometime between 1908 and 1907!
This little egg is covered in strawberry-red enamel over a guilloché ground. On both the back and the front sits a gold arrow, decorated with one diamond each.
The hight of the egg is 11/16'' (1,8 cm), and it was made by workmaster Henrik Wigstrom.
It can be bought at Romanov Russia for 14,000 USD.
