If you, like me, happen to be a sucker for beautiful, flowing gowns, you will love the work of designer Paolo Sebastian. At just seventeen the man behind the brand, Paolo Vasileff, came out with his first collection, after having learned how to sew with his grandmother. In 2012, after graduating from Milan's Europeo Instituto di Design, the brand was launched internationally. Paolo Sebastian specializes in custom-made couture tailored to accentuate the beauty of the individual. With a mix of old Hollywood glamour and contemporary cuts, with tailored boning and beautiful appliqués, these dresses are made of dreams. Sometimes the meticulous hand beading and positioning of French lace makes it look like the dresses grow on the wearer's body. Here are a few examples from his 2015-16 SS Couture Collection. Ulyana Sergeenko Fall 2015 Couture
If you've been following this blog for some time, you know that I LOVE designer Ulyana Sergeenko, and have a desperate need to post about her new creations. Well, she doesn't disappoint with her Fall 2015 Couture collection either... She did her first couture show three years ago, and earlier this year the Chambre Syndicale made her an official guest member. As usual she finds inspiration in her native country Russia. This year her designs focuses on Saint Petersburg's Soviet-era communal apartments, where the huge homes of the rich were divided among their once-grand owners and sailors, peasant families, KGB officers and army men. Here are my favorites. To see the whole collection, go here!
Notice the very fluffy bag and matching shoes with pompoms!
Again - look at the bag! This time shaped as an ice cream cone filled with fluffy ice cream!

Galliano Is Back!
I love John Galliano's designs, and I think Dior has become both plain and boring since he got fired from that fashion house. As I have written before, I of course don't agree with what Galliano might have blurted out while not completely sober, that resulted in him having to quit his job for Dior. But when it comes to fashion, I'm a big fan of his! So naturally I was happy to hear he's back in business - now designing for Maison Martin Margiela. Here are some of my favorites from his Spring 2015 Couture collection for Margiela. To see all the pieces, go here!

Her Spring 2015 Couture collection is full of beautiful pieces, that as usual shows how inspired she is by Russian style through time. It was difficult to pick out my own favorites this time, but here are at least a few. To see the rest go here! And don't miss the ornate embroidery, and the very cool bags held by the models!

Ulyana Sergeenko Fall 2014 Couture
One of my favorite designers is Ulyana Sergeenko. I could fill my whole wardrobe with her clothes, and I feel it doesn't matter for what year or what season she creates her clothes, they are all timeless pieces that I would still wear fifty years from now. So even though most people don't want to think about fall in the middle of the lovely summer, I will still show you my favorites from her Fall 2014 Couture Collection today - because you don't have to wait for fall to wear all these lovely things!
