Paolo Sebastian

If you, like me, happen to be a sucker for beautiful, flowing gowns, you will love the work of designer Paolo Sebastian. At just seventeen the man behind the brand, Paolo Vasileff, came out with his first collection, after having learned how to sew with his grandmother. In 2012, after graduating from Milan's Europeo Instituto di Design, the brand was launched internationally. Paolo Sebastian specializes in custom-made couture tailored to accentuate the beauty of the individual. With a mix of old Hollywood glamour and contemporary cuts, with tailored boning and beautiful appliqués, these dresses are made of dreams. Sometimes the meticulous hand beading and positioning of French lace makes it look like the dresses grow on the wearer's body. Here are a few examples from his 2015-16 SS Couture Collection. Ulyana Sergeenko Fall 2015 Couture

If you've been following this blog for some time, you know that I LOVE designer Ulyana Sergeenko, and have a desperate need to post about her new creations. Well, she doesn't disappoint with her Fall 2015 Couture collection either... She did her first couture show three years ago, and earlier this year the Chambre Syndicale made her an official guest member. As usual she finds inspiration in her native country Russia. This year her designs focuses on Saint Petersburg's Soviet-era communal apartments, where the huge homes of the rich were divided among their once-grand owners and sailors, peasant families, KGB officers and army men. Here are my favorites. To see the whole collection, go here!

Notice the very fluffy bag and matching shoes with pompoms!

Again - look at the bag! This time shaped as an ice cream cone filled with fluffy ice cream!
