La Lilouche

In 2009, after designing successful collections for the UK high street market for a few years, designer Liya Amar decided to start her own lingerie brand - La Lilouche - inspired by flirtatious boudoirs, seduction, refined elegance and high fashion. The pieces are all made of fine materials, such as 100% silk, power nets, satin and Chantilly lace, and decorated with ribbons, Swarovski crystals and bows. All collections are limited editions though, so you have to get them while they last! Here are some favorite picks of mine...

Sienna silver peony silk chiffon kaftan.

Sophia black silk kimono.

Veronika black faux leather Grecian tulle bra.

Cher retro rouge red silk suspender high waist panties, and Cher rouge red silk satin quarter cup padded bra.

Rosie black tulle net boudoir ruffled cape.

Maxine black silk satin and fishnet corset suspender high brief.

Goldie silk chiffon Grecian long gown.

You find La Lilouche's shop on Etsy here!

Valentine's Lingerie

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and whether your in a happy relationship with someone else, or single and in a happy relationship with yourselves, this day is a good excuse to splurge a bit and get some new lingerie! My favorite retro lingerie brand is What Katie Did, because they create good looking, durable things for daily wear. When I saw their new collection it made me think of Valentine's for some reason, so here it is! The range is all made in England, it's called Liz, and it comes in the colors Amethyst, Ruby, and Black. I'll take a set in each color please...

Marlene...

If you like vintage clothes - and vintage lingerie - you probably know about the retro lingerie company What Katie Did. I've already blogged about some of their fabulous stuff before, but as I love them, here we go again! One of their styles is called Marlene, and this is the set I lust mostly for right now...

Marlene comes in red and peach, or...

...Black and peach, with a bullet bra, panties, and garter belt. I don't own a bullet bra yet, so maybe it's time to get one, to wear under 50s sweaters. They're great for poking peoples eyes out if they stare too much! Haha!

If you want to shape your waist a little, there are also color-matched, art deco inspired Marlene girdles. They are high waisted, with medium control and hooks in the side. As it's soon my birthday, I think it's only right that someone gets these for me! Right?...

For more of What Katie Did, visit their website here, or just click on the banner below. I will not be held responsible for anyone spending too much money on their stuff though! Hehe...

Shoot With Cato Lein

The ones of you who follow me on Facebook, might already have seen the photos from my first shoot with photographer Cato Lein - at least the Facebook-proof ones. Haha! That time he shot me and the lovely Midnight Maitresse together. But for my second encounter with Mr Lein, he came to my place to shoot me alone. As I always style myself for shoots, and use my own clothes and accessories, having the photographer come to where I actually live is really nice, since I have all my stuff just a few steps away, and we can just pick and choose whatever we like to use as ideas pop up in our heads.

Cato is a great photographer, and one thing I like about shooting with him is that he sees little interesting details here and there - like the bend of the legs, a foot, or a particular part of mt outfit - and then he he takes a picture of just that part, which usually turns into really cool photos. He also like to have a lot of moment in his photos. No static posing. So here is the result from my latest shoot with him!
