Yesterday's school outfit

As I told you a week ago, I've just begun taking a course in PR. We have class every monday, and this is what I wore to school yesterday.

I have been looking for a green sweater, so I was glad when I found this one from Brooklyn Industries. The skirt I got after spending a night at Mr and Mrs Kellerman's place. First I got to sleep in silk pajamas, the next morning I got my juice served in a champagne glass, and then Fanny gives me this skirt she doesn't want anymore. I think I should sleep over at their place more often...

Love my new shoes from Miss L Fire! Yesterday was the first day I wore them, and they didn't make my feet hurt at all! I like shoes that don't need to be broken in!

Earrings from Aldo. This picture doesn't make them justice though. In reality they are the color of green peacock feathers, which is portrayed underneath faceted glass cupolas.

After class. I met up with my sister, and we had a few drinks at Hotell Malmen.

That margarita was really good! Had a few of those in NY, so I decided to continue the margarita drinking here in Stockholm too, to help cure my NYC-abstinense...

Things I DON'T want right now

As an apposite to my "Things I want right now" posts, I will sometimes do a "Things I DON'T want right now" post. Fashion creators make wonderful things people all over the world crave. But let's face it - sometimes a model comes strutting down the runway and what she's wearing makes your eyes widen and your inner voice say: "What the f**k is she wearing?!". It has happened to me a few times, and here I will share with you some of those "what the f**k" moments.

Ok. The jacket isn't too horrible. It could probably look good if paired with something else than THOSE pants. Together though, they make you look like a lawn starting to dry up for lack of rain. The fit of the pants is also what i call "horrible", and the only people who can get away with having the bottom of the legs go over the shoes like that are ice skaters!

What bothers me here is the fabric the skirt has been made of. Maybe the light just makes it look worse than it is in this picture, but snakeskin printed on such a plastic looking fabric just look cheap and tacky!

I loved the origami theme of this collection. But this outfit does NOT look good. I mean - look at the boobs! Cleavage is nice, but that's when you can see the UPPER part of the breasts, not the bottom. It just looks like a wardrobe malfunction.

Back to Kellerman's

Yet another day was spent at Kellerman Vintage yesterday. I helped the lovely Mrs Fanny Kellerman sew in the shop's own tags in the clothes, while listening to Queen. This shop hasn't existed for more than a little bit over a year, but I still think it should have gotten more recognition than it has. Yes, I know Fanny is my friend, and of course I want things to go well for her. But the fact is I loved this shop even before I met Fanny. She has some really good stuff in there, and if you don't find anything fitting on the clothing racks, there are always the accessories! Shoes, bags, belts, hats, gloves, jewelry - and lots of it too! It's very difficult (at least for me) to not spend any money every time I visit. I especially love the hats made by Magdalena Kellerman.

70s dress in a lovely, flowing fabric

Fanny also sews 50s style dresses out of old fabrics. Usually vintage 50s dresses can have very tiny waists. For those who doesn't want to wear a corset underneath to be able to get into one of those dresses but still want to wear one, I highly recommend Fanny's own creations - they have been sewn after a modern pattern that fits the woman of today, without waist cinchers!

Here's a picture of one of her dresses - not such a good photo I know, but anyway. They're all made in different fabrics and sizes, so for the most part you will be the only one walking around in a certain dress if you buy one!

Full moon

When the moon is full it's a good time to start new projects. I've decided to go back to school, and luckily for me, the course starts today - at the time of the full moon! I'm taking a 15 week course in PR, and for the occasion I decided to wear one of the dresses and the wedges I bought in NY.

For obvious reasons I put on some moon fitting jewelry - my matching silver ring and earrings set with rainbow moonstones. I love these stones! They look white and transparent, but if you hold them in the right light they get a lovely blue shimmer inside of them.

I know a lot of you - like me - want one of each of the machines above. This might get a bit pricey though. If I had to chose only one, it would be a refrigerator! The cheapest way of getting a retro kitchen though, is buying some paint and cover everything with, for example, pastels - like the lovely Dita von Teese did at her LA home.

And for the record: I always wear stilettos when I cook too!...Kind of...
