New Jumpsuit + Poker

There is a Swedish girl called Emmy who makes clothes inspired by the 40s and 50s. Emmy Design is the name of her company, and after seeing the jumpsuit that's part of her F/W 2012 collection I felt I simply had to have one! I very seldom wear pants, but I love this jumpsuit!

It's made of a wove fabric, which is perfect now when it's starting to get really cold outside. Elegant enough to go out in, by also comfortable enough for a day on the couch, watching movies....Or for an evening of drinking and gambling...

...Which is exactly what I did last Wednesday, when I had been invited to Fanny's and Michael's place for a poker night! Fanny had made lots of yummy food, and as soon as I stepped in through the door I got a glass of bubbly in my hand. Fanny is a great hostess!

It was supposed to be a girls only evening. But both Michael (with the finger), and Albin (with the raised eyebrow) were allowed to come anyway. Michael because...well, he lives there...And we like him...And Albin because...ehm...well, we sort of like him too...Fanny in the foreground!

The poker set was from Agent Provocateur...

...so the cards all had pictures of girls in AP lingerie on them!

Me and Albin putting our poker faces on! Me with a Joker card in my hair, and Albin looking like he's about to attack at any moment. Scary...

As Michael is a photographer, he has funny photography toys lying around. We found his LED light-rod, and started playing with it. At first I was just going to take a picture of the "Photomatic" sign, but then Albin jumped into the picture, with Michael LED-lighting his face, and the picture turned out great!

Here I'm trying to use the LED thingy on myself, but manage to put most of the light on my butt! Serious shot...

...Not so serious shot...Then the boys decided to use me as a toy, by throwing me back and forth between them. They laughed. I screamed. Glad I survived...Then I killed some zombies, before going to bed, falling asleep, and dreaming about killing even more zombies...I told Michael I would get nightmares from that computer game! And oh how right I was! But it was still fun...

Fashion Night Out

Stockholm Fashion Week ended last Wednesday with Fashion Night Out. On this evening a lot of stores around Stureplan we're open until 10 pm, a fashion show by Tiger was shown on a bigscreen, and people we're partying everywhere!

One of the stores participating in Fashion Night Out was Agent Provocateur. My friend Fanny, who happens to be Shop Manager at this heavenly place, had asked me if I wanted to help out during the evening - luring people into the store, and serving drinks. Since I was free that night I of course said yes!

After putting on the little Agent Provocateur-apron, I felt a bit like one of the maids John Willie used to draw.

Fanny's husband Michael came and DJ'd to create the right party-mood!

Usually you're not allowed to take photos in the AP stores, but this evening an exception was made. So here are some pictures from the inside!

I am so in love with this crystal-handeled whip!!! It would look great in a photo shoot, a burrlesque number, or just as a decoration on the wall!

Wish I could move in to this store permanently...But all stories has an ending, and this one ended with achy feet and tired and hungry coworkers...

...So after we had locked the door to Agent Provocateur we headed over ti T.G.I. Friday's for a late dinner. Here's Michael, Ellem, and Albin - who was one of the two photographers during the evening.

Stockholm Fashion Week

Just in time for Stockholm Fashion Week I came down with a lovely cold. But with some pain killers and nose drops I managed to drag myself out of bed to go to a few events I had been invited to. First I went to a party held to promote Swedish corset designer Viola Lahger. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of the burlesque show that incorporated several of these lovely corsets. It was simply too crowded where I stood.

Photo: Tifa

I found this picture from Tifa's Instagram though, that shows some of the people I partied with: Top left: Karin Holmström Lahger - owner of, and corset maker at Viola Lahger. Bottom left: Olivia, Helena and Elsa. And to the right: Tifa herself! This day - August 16th - also happened to be my birthday, and Fanny, who was also there, brought me a whole bag of presents from where she works!

It's not too bad having a friend who is Shop Manager at Agent Provocateur...

The day after I had been invited to a VIP mingle-evening, where new designers showcased, and sold, their designs. The woman who had invited me was none other than Swedish burlesque/vintage-looking hat designer Marika Smith! It was easy to see who her guests were, since we all - of course - wore her hat creations!

Here I am, beside Marika Smith herself! Behind us you can see her...

...hat-stand! As you can see she creates both demure, vintage-looking hats for everyday wear, and more burlesque fascinators for times when you might need one of those.

Close-ups of two of her hats! Other interesting things I found during the evening was:

This lovely negligé and panties by Katarina Nyman.

A cool "stay-away-from-me-or-I-will-hurt-you" dress by Aniv von Borche.

Booze!

Nice gloves by Jnny Grettve.

Cool jewelry by Johanna N.

And the always gorgeous Miss Diamond from the extraordinary Blackbird Burlesque Cabaret! Miss Diamond isn't just a gem in the burlesque world though, she is also CEO of her own brand Mrs Murphy

She gave me a little present. Not sure exactly what it is, but it looks like a milky, transparent, balloon, and the girls told me I would learn the use of it after I'm married. So now I'm looking forward to that!

Since we're talking about fashion here, I would also like to mention that I'm now featured on the blog Be In Style, in their weekly series Best of the Web, where they recognize the most interesting style blogs! I feel very honored by this, as it is always lovely to hear people appreciate what I write about here on my little bloggywogg. So thank you to Be In Style!!!

Agent Provocateur Fall/Winter 2012

Agent Provocateur has just revealed Monica Cruz to be the sexy girl modeling lingerie in their Fall/Winter 2012 campaign. Monica is the younger sister of Penelope Cruz, and stars in Tim Pope's glamorous Wilhelmina: Show Your True Self. Here is the campaign:

I could just die for that dark red covered in black lace set! The divan they use as props wouldn't be bad to own either...
