Outfit Post

I love seeing what other people wear on their blogs, but I'm really bad at doing outfit posts myself. Sorry... But here is one! I rarely wear pants, but with the cold season now starting to get a grip on us, I thought I needed some pants!

I found the perfect pair made by Swedish retro designer Emmy. They're called The 40s Work Pants and are made of black bengaline. They're really comfortable with a high waist, flared legs, and has pleats in the front.

The top is vintage 40s, and that one I found at the latest Bureskloppis (Burlesque Flea Market). I've been looking for one of these small knitted 40s tops for a long time, but they're always too big for me. So I was really glad when I found this one! It's brown, with icy blue snow flakes. As you can see it also makes it look like I have boobs. Yay! Haha! Sometimes I'm a bit worried when it comes to putting black and brown pieces together. But I think this works quite well.

At Tyresö Palace - Part 2

So, here comes the second part of the photo shoot I did with photographer Charlotte Hall at Tyresö Palace. After the first part, which you can read about here, we took a coffee break at the palace. Just then the sun disappeared and with the thunder came the rain... But just as I predicted, the rain stopped when we had finished our coffee. So then I changed into my new, red, playsuit from Emmy Design, took my shoes off, and skipped out into a stream. Sitting on a mossy rock under the green trees, listening to the mix of the murmur from the water and the thunder was wonderful! And here are the pictures Charlotte - also standing in the water - caught of me.

The playsuit doubles as a bathing suit, so if the water had been a bit deeper I would have gone for a swim. Oh well. Maybe some other day...

Playsuits! Yay!

Summer is coming even this year - I hope... And with that, temperatures that requires less fabric on our bodies - like, for example, playsuits! Or rompers as they are also called. I like the word romper. It sounds fun, and a bit naughty somehow. The romper appeared in the US in the early 1900s as playwear for younger children. In the 1950 they became very popular among grown women too, who wore them as leisure- and beachwear. During the last few years they have come into fashion again, and can be found in both modern and vintage inspired versions. Nowadays people even wear them to parties, matched with high heels and clutch bags. Here are some of my favorite pics from the web!

This one, from Emmy Design, comes in different colors. But I like it in light pink. It doubles as a swimsuit, has sewn in bra padding, a skirt-like detail at the front, and is made of bengaline - which is true to the swimsuit materials of the 40s.

Here is one with a cat in lace on it! Perfect for crazy cat lady-picnics! It comes from ModCloth.

Another one from ModCloth, the so called Romance Columnist Romper.

This is actually a bathing suit. But together with it's removable faux sarong skirt, I think it works very well as a romper too! It also has a built in bra. You find it at Revamp Vintage.

Another bathing suit that fits equally well as a romper. Also from Revamp Vintage. It has a boned bodice and a removable skirt.

Now I feel like having a romper party! Cocktails for everyone!!!

New Jumpsuit + Poker

There is a Swedish girl called Emmy who makes clothes inspired by the 40s and 50s. Emmy Design is the name of her company, and after seeing the jumpsuit that's part of her F/W 2012 collection I felt I simply had to have one! I very seldom wear pants, but I love this jumpsuit!

It's made of a wove fabric, which is perfect now when it's starting to get really cold outside. Elegant enough to go out in, by also comfortable enough for a day on the couch, watching movies....Or for an evening of drinking and gambling...

...Which is exactly what I did last Wednesday, when I had been invited to Fanny's and Michael's place for a poker night! Fanny had made lots of yummy food, and as soon as I stepped in through the door I got a glass of bubbly in my hand. Fanny is a great hostess!

It was supposed to be a girls only evening. But both Michael (with the finger), and Albin (with the raised eyebrow) were allowed to come anyway. Michael because...well, he lives there...And we like him...And Albin because...ehm...well, we sort of like him too...Fanny in the foreground!

The poker set was from Agent Provocateur...

...so the cards all had pictures of girls in AP lingerie on them!

Me and Albin putting our poker faces on! Me with a Joker card in my hair, and Albin looking like he's about to attack at any moment. Scary...

As Michael is a photographer, he has funny photography toys lying around. We found his LED light-rod, and started playing with it. At first I was just going to take a picture of the "Photomatic" sign, but then Albin jumped into the picture, with Michael LED-lighting his face, and the picture turned out great!

Here I'm trying to use the LED thingy on myself, but manage to put most of the light on my butt! Serious shot...

...Not so serious shot...Then the boys decided to use me as a toy, by throwing me back and forth between them. They laughed. I screamed. Glad I survived...Then I killed some zombies, before going to bed, falling asleep, and dreaming about killing even more zombies...I told Michael I would get nightmares from that computer game! And oh how right I was! But it was still fun...
