Hollywood Mules
Retro lingerie company What Katie Did has worked together with retro shoe designer Miss L Fire, to create the perfect, elegantly sexy mule. The result is a 50s style shoe that works very well for both sauntering around in your boudoir, and for cocktail parties. The come in peach or black satin, with tulle flowers decorating the front, and I want (read "NEED") a pair in each color. If anyone feels like becoming my personal shoe-sponsor, my size is 36! Hehe...

Outfit Post
I just realized I haven't done an outfit post in ages! But as I love seeing what other people wear (especially when it's vintage), I'm going to show you one of my latest finds!
This dress is from the 30s. I found it at Old Touch and it just needed a little restoration to become wearable again. The outer fabric is transparent, as you can see on the "winged" sleeves, and it has a sewn-in underdress. Both the outer and inner layers closes with snap fasteners and hooks and eyes in the left side.
It gathers nicely underneath the bust...
...and the colors goes very well with my green Miss L Fire shoes!
There was no belt with the dress when I bought it. But I don't even think one was ever made for it. I decided to make one though, to make it fit well in my waist. Since I'm short (5'4, 162 cm), and my waist curves in pretty much, I just look even shorter if the dress just hangs straight down without following my shape. The belt makes me look at least 5'5!

New Shoes
Guess what! I just bought a new pair of shoes. Surprise!!!...Well, I did have a good excuse to get these. Not that a girl ever needs an excuse to buy new shoes, but anyways...
They come from "Miss L Fire", and are called "Tartaruga". The reason I simply had to buy these shoes right now, is because "Miss L Fire" is having a total sell out on their site, to prepare for the upcomming spring/summer collection. They won't restock the ones they sell out (at very good prices I might add), and I've had my eye on the "Tartarugas" for some time now. So you see, there was simply no way I could not buy them!
At got them in black, with the heels wrapped in leopard print vinyl/plastic, and bows in the same material on the vamps.
They have that perfect vintage shape with both rounded heal and toe!
Just like the other two pairs of "Miss L Fire" shoes I have, these are really comfortable. The white things at the inside of the heels are just heel grippers I put in myself. I got the same size I usually order from them, but I needed to fill out these pairs a little bit to make them fit perfectly!
Here is a picture of the lovely Bernie Dexter wearing the shoes. The sale has been going on for quite some time now, so if you want to pay half of what you usually do for "Miss L Fire" shoes, I suggest you hurry up!

Monday's school outfit
Monday again! Time really flies when you have a lot to do! Something I don't mind at all though...
This Monday I decided to skip the skirts and dresses, and wear shorts instead! These are from "Tara Starlet", but I bought them at "Daisy Dapper" - a lovely 50s repro/pin up shop here in Stockholm! Love the high waist with buttons on them. The little tie on cardigan is from Kappahl and their "Vintage Stories" collection they came out with a few years ago. The boots, from "Miss L Fire", I wrote about earlier.
Its been quite warm here in Sweden - for being Sweden - for the season. But tonight the temperature dropped drastically, and now it's down around freezing point. So, time to bring out the winter coat! This coat looks vintage, but is not vintage at all! It's from H&M, and I got it three or four years ago. It's warm and cozy, and fits the rest of the clothes in my closet, so I think it might get to stick around for a few more years!
This purse I use a lot! It used to belong to my grandmother, but since she knows I'm into vintage, she gave it to me! She loves seeing my new vintage finds, and often remembers having something "just like that" when she was young. She was, and still is, quite stylish - my 94 year old grandma!

New boots
Isn't it lovely when a man arrives at your door, with a present in his hands?!...Ok, I might look at this through rose colored glasses slightly. In reality the man was the post man, and the present was a delivery from Miss L Fire, ordered by myself...But I was quite exited anyway! I have been looking for some nice winter boots that looks like they could have been made in the 40s or 50s, for some time now. Then a few weeks ago when I bought the shoes (called "Clara") below - also by Miss L Fire - at a store called Sivletto, I remembered to check out her Internet page again.
Except for point shoes, I have never ordered shoes online before. My feet are a bit weird, and I like to be able to try the shoes on before I buy them. But feeling how comfortable the green shoes I already had from this brand were, I decided to give it a go! And this is what I ordered:
My new winter buddies - perfect heel hight, and lined with sheepskin! They're called "Lauren", fit perfectly, and feel very comfortable! I wouldn't be afraid to order more shoes from Miss L Fire. If both these pairs fit me so well, there's a big chance the rest of the shoes will too. This might be a bit dangerous though...If I get a bit too drunk one night, I have to stay away from computers so I don't order every pair she has on her web site...Here comes a few of my favorites from the A/W 2011 collection.

See?! This could get difficult. Note to self: Remember to ask someone to hide computer before opening wine bottle...
