Dottie's Delights

Nowadays there are many retro lingerie brands out there. One of them I really love the look of is Dottie's Delights. They have several different collections in different styles, but always with an old fashioned, glamorous look to each piece. So whether you like black, sassy lace, or sweet pastels, you will most probably find something that fits your personal taste here. I have to admit I don't own anything from Dottie's Delights myself though (yet)... So I can't really tell you anything about the comfort and quality of the pieces. Lets just hope they feel as good as they look! Here are a few things they have to offer! To see more, visit Dottie's Delight's website here!

At Tyresö Palace - Part 2

So, here comes the second part of the photo shoot I did with photographer Charlotte Hall at Tyresö Palace. After the first part, which you can read about here, we took a coffee break at the palace. Just then the sun disappeared and with the thunder came the rain... But just as I predicted, the rain stopped when we had finished our coffee. So then I changed into my new, red, playsuit from Emmy Design, took my shoes off, and skipped out into a stream. Sitting on a mossy rock under the green trees, listening to the mix of the murmur from the water and the thunder was wonderful! And here are the pictures Charlotte - also standing in the water - caught of me.

The playsuit doubles as a bathing suit, so if the water had been a bit deeper I would have gone for a swim. Oh well. Maybe some other day...

Fifi Chachnil

French designer Fifi Chachnil creates clothes and lingerie for the very feminine and sexy - yet cute - woman. With sheer fabrics and both body-hugging and flared skirts, these pieces let you show off exactly the parts of your body you want to show off, but in a very elegant, Parisian way. Here are some of my favorites from this brand!

Playsuits! Yay!

Summer is coming even this year - I hope... And with that, temperatures that requires less fabric on our bodies - like, for example, playsuits! Or rompers as they are also called. I like the word romper. It sounds fun, and a bit naughty somehow. The romper appeared in the US in the early 1900s as playwear for younger children. In the 1950 they became very popular among grown women too, who wore them as leisure- and beachwear. During the last few years they have come into fashion again, and can be found in both modern and vintage inspired versions. Nowadays people even wear them to parties, matched with high heels and clutch bags. Here are some of my favorite pics from the web!

This one, from Emmy Design, comes in different colors. But I like it in light pink. It doubles as a swimsuit, has sewn in bra padding, a skirt-like detail at the front, and is made of bengaline - which is true to the swimsuit materials of the 40s.

Here is one with a cat in lace on it! Perfect for crazy cat lady-picnics! It comes from ModCloth.

Another one from ModCloth, the so called Romance Columnist Romper.

This is actually a bathing suit. But together with it's removable faux sarong skirt, I think it works very well as a romper too! It also has a built in bra. You find it at Revamp Vintage.

Another bathing suit that fits equally well as a romper. Also from Revamp Vintage. It has a boned bodice and a removable skirt.

Now I feel like having a romper party! Cocktails for everyone!!!

Moving Out...

As some of you might know, I've had a seven year long pain problem, which has made it impossible for me to have a full time job, or even move away from my parent's house, since I needed help with a lot of things. Now though, I'm pain free enough to do those things! I just got a full time job, which I will start today, and last week I moved into a room in my best friend Fanny's and her husband Michael's apartment. A lot of people share apartments in Stockholm, or live in second hand apartments, so until I can find (and afford) a place of my own I will be residing in the "Kellerman Mansion"!

So this was my moving out outfit - a mint green playsuit I got in Paris, and leopard ballerinas!

The hummingbird-earrings I aso bought somewhere in Paris, and my 50s style sunglasses I got in a goodiebag once. There was no tag on them though, so I have no idea who to credit them to. Remember that people; if you give away stuff in goodiebags, put a tag on it!!! That's what goodiebags are for you know... The super-pink lipstick I've had a really long time - from Nivea.

The summer I turned fourteen my family moved from Stockholm to a town one hour north of the capital, so it felt great to move back to my city! My dad was kind enough to drive me and all my stuff to my new residence. The car was packed to the max (but I still have more stuff to get some other time), and on top of everything we put my big mirror. As you can see in the picture above, Morris made sure it didn't break during the car ride.

Milfred the Mink was really excited...

...until he got carsick...

After a short nap on my lap, he was fine though, and wanted to help drive the car! He doesn't really have a drivers license, so we just let him drive for a little while, and we all arrived safely to by new crib. But more about that tomorrow!
